The study was conducted on 16 men and women aged 22-46 who were overweight . Participants did not change their lifestyle and their eating habits . The study was conducted over 22 weeks , when the study participants were physically active .

Some of the participants were given supplements consisting of green coffee beans extract , at doses of 700 mg and 1050 mg , and some of the participants received placebo.

The capsules consumed half an hour before meals with plenty of water. Participants reported that the capsules taste was very bitter .

None of the participants complained or experienced any side effects , At the end of the study there was a decrease of about 16% body fat of participants who took the green coffee beans extracts .

Some participants shed about 3 pounds and some of the participants shed about 11 pounds in six months , and the total observed decrease of about 7-8 pounds on average in six months .

Group in which subjects received one dose of coffee bean extract ( 700 mg capsule ) , observed a large decrease in weight compared to placebo , but among the study participants were also investigated those who received a double portion of coffee bean extract ( 1050 mg capsules ) when this group was observed as the largest decline in weight loss .
